‘KP Is Suffering While Its Leaders Stage Political Dramas,’ Mian Iftikhar Hussain

Awami National Party (ANP) leader Mian Iftikhar Hussain has accused the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government of misleading the public, saying the chief minister is busy staging political dramas on a container while ignoring the province’s problems.

Addressing a gathering in Kundro, Risalpur, Nowshera, Mian Iftikhar Hussain said that struggling for their leader was their right, but questioned what fault the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had committed.

The ANP leader said the current and former chief ministers were fighting among themselves while the province continued to deteriorate. He claimed that the people had not elected them and that they had come to power through selection.

He said securing the release of the PTI founder was beyond their capabilities and that they were not serious about achieving it.

Mian Iftikhar Hussain said inflation had made life difficult for the public, but the rulers remained indifferent to their suffering. He added that people were struggling to afford two meals a day while members of the provincial assembly were enjoying themselves.

He also questioned what practical steps the provincial government had taken so far to ensure the implementation of the National Finance Commission (NFC) Award and the 18th Constitutional Amendment.
