PTI founder Imran Khan has been shifted back to his cell at Adiala Jail after being taken to Shifa International Hospital for a medical examination.
According to media reports, Imran Khan was brought back to Adiala Jail under extremely tight security and has been moved back to his cell.
Transfer to hospital at midnight
It is pertinent to mention that Imran Khan was transferred from Adiala Jail to Shifa International Hospital around midnight. Media reports said a team of six specialist doctors was scheduled to examine the PTI founder.
According to reports, a decision was to be made after the medical examination on whether Imran Khan needed to remain hospitalized or should be sent back to jail. He has now been transferred back to Adiala Jail.
Objections to review petition
Meanwhile, on Thursday morning, the Supreme Court Registrar’s Office returned the review petition filed a day earlier against Imran Khan’s transfer to the hospital after raising objections.
Possibility of sending him abroad
On the other hand, Federal Minister Tariq Fazal Chaudhry has also suggested the possibility of Imran Khan being sent abroad. Following his statement, discussions have begun in political circles regarding Imran Khan’s possible transfer overseas.
However, after undergoing a medical examination at Shifa International Hospital, Imran Khan has been shifted back to Adiala Jail, where he has been moved to his cell.
