ISLAMABAD: Honor is gearing up to launch its 500 series in China soon. While the company has started teasing the new lineup, it hasn’t shared any concrete information about the phones just yet. However, leaks have already hinted at a possible launch date. Live images of what appear to be Honor 500 models have also surfaced online, showing a fresh design compared to the Honor 400 and 400 Pro. Reports have further spilled some details about the upcoming devices, including their expected display, processor, camera setup, and battery specs.
Honor 500 Series Launch Teased
Honor has announced on its official Weibo account that the new Honor 500 series will be launching in China soon. The teaser suggests that the lineup will include two models — the Honor 500 Super Standard Edition and the Honor 500 Super Pro Edition. However, it’s still uncertain if the “Super” tag will be part of the final product names or just a marketing addition to generate buzz.
The teaser image also hints at a sleek, slim design and shows an extra button that could work similarly to Apple’s Camera Control button. More concrete information about the series is expected to surface in the coming days.
Honor 500 Live Image Leaked
According to a recent post by tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the upcoming Honor 500 is likely to sport a cold-carved unibody design with a metallic mid-frame, complemented by a flat display and softly curved edges. The post also included an image showing the phone in a light blue shade, featuring a dual-tone back and a racetrack-style horizontal camera setup—somewhat reminiscent of the iPhone Air.
Additionally, CNMO shared leaked live images of the Honor 500 in white and pink colors, while another leaker, Smart Pikachu, released more photos of the device. Reports suggest the standard version will come with two rear cameras, whereas the Pro variant may include a triple-camera setup.
