ISLAMABAD: Heavy rain along with hailstorm hit various parts of twin cities on Tuesday, transforming the city’s weather.
Following the downpour, temperatures dropped noticeably, intensifying the winter chill.
The rain not only brought relief from the dry spell but also turned the atmosphere pleasant, with cool breezes sweeping across the city after the hailstorm.
Residents described the sudden change in weather as an early sign of the approaching winter season.
According to Pakistan Meterological Department (PMD), cloudy weather with rain-wind and thunderstorm with snowfall over the hills is expected in Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.
While, rain-wind and thunderstorm is also likely at isolated places in Potohar region, Islamabad and North-East Punjab during evening/night, Isolated hailstorm may occur in Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Northeastern Punjab and the Potohar region during the period. Dry weather is likely in other central/southern parts of the country, said PMD.
