Web desk: Pakistan’s middle-order batter Hasan Nawaz has expressed confidence in the team’s form and preparation ahead of the upcoming Tri-nation series and the Asia Cup 2025.
In a video shared by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on its social media platforms, Nawaz and spinner Abrar Ahmed reflected on their side’s intra-squad warm-up clash at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
Hasan Nawaz was instrumental in guiding Agha XI to victory over Saim XI in the contest.
Speaking after the game, Abrar credited Nawaz and wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Haris for their vital contributions. In return, Nawaz highlighted Abrar’s performance with the ball and Fakhar Zaman’s solid batting display.
“In the match, the catch you took and the way you bowled were outstanding, and we restricted them to a low total,” Nawaz told Abrar. He went on to add, “The players are in form, Fakhar played very well. So, by the will of Almighty Allah, everyone’s and my strive is to continue this form for the tri-series and Asia Cup.”
Pakistan will begin their preparations with the tri-series against Afghanistan and the United Arab Emirates at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium from August 29 to September 7.
Soon after, the Asia Cup will get underway in the UAE from September 9 to 28, with matches being held in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
The national side will open their Asia Cup campaign against Oman on September 12 before facing arch-rivals India in a high-profile encounter on September 14.
