Government raises petrol and diesel prices by Rs 26.77 per litre

The government has increased the prices of petroleum products, according to an official notification issued by the Petroleum Division.


The notification states that the new prices will remain applicable for the next week.


New Fuel Prices Announced


High-Speed Diesel has been increased by Rs 26.77 per litre, bringing its new price to Rs 380.19 per litre.


Similarly, petrol has also been increased by Rs 26.77 per litre, setting the new price at Rs 393.33 per litre.

The increase in fuel prices is expected to have a broader impact on transportation costs and inflation, affecting daily commodities and public mobility across the country.

Officials say that the decision has been taken in view of the global surge in fuel prices, affecting the fuel prices worldwide.

They further assure the citizens that the prices will come to its normal once the global market gets stable.
