DHAKA: Footage of suspected shooters of Bangaldesh’s student leader Osman Hadi crossing the border from India has surfaced.

According to Bangladeshi media sources, a footage has surfaced in which the two suspected shooters believed to be RAW agents can be seen crossing the Petrapole-Benapole border from India to Bangladesh on December 6, 2025.

Bangladeshi police is searching for them as key suspects in the shooting incident.

Osman Hadi was shot by masked attackers on December 12 while leaving a mosque in Dhaka. He was later airlifted to a hospital in Singapore but he succumbed to his injuries on Thursday.

He was a key leader of last year’s uprising that ended the autocratic rule of former prime minister Sheikh Hasina.

She later fled to India.

Hadi was also contesting a parliamentary seat in the February 2026 national elections.

Supporters of the July Oikya staged a road blockade in Dhaka, as they marched toward the Indian High Commission, calling for the extradition of individuals accused of attempting to kill Osman Hadi, spokesperson for Inqilab Moncho and a prospective independent candidate for Dhaka-8 constituency.

Thousands of protesters poured onto the streets of Dhaka after the death of Sharif Osman Hadi, 32, was confirmed.

Demonstrators demanded the immediate arrest of those behind the killing.

Authorities said several buildings in the capital were set on fire.

These included offices of the country’s two leading newspapers.

Officials added that staff members were trapped inside the buildings during the unrest.

His body arrived in Dhaka on Friday evening from Singapore. Biman Bangladesh Airlines Flight BG 585 landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 5:49 p.m., according to Bangladesh media. Authorities declared a one-day state mourning on Saturday, and his funeral prayers are scheduled after Zuhr at Manik Mia Avenue.
