Falak Javed indicted in Azma Bukhari fake video case

Islamabad: A court indicted Falak Javed and other accused in a case involving the circulation of a fake video attributed to Provincial Minister of Punjab for Information and Culture Azma Bukhari on social media on Friday.

The case was registered by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) that stated that the accused deliberately spread a fabricated video online to mislead the public and damage Azma Bukhari’s reputation.

During the hearing, the judicial magistrate ordered that prosecution witnesses be summoned at the next hearing and adjourned further proceedings of the case.

As per the investigation conducted by the NCCIA, the viral video was found to be fake and was shared with malicious intent to create a false impression and carry out character assassination on social media.
