PSL Amir Faheem altercation fine

Web Desk: In a tense moment during the Pakistan Super League Season 11, fast bowler Mohammad Amir and all-rounder Faheem Ashraf were fined after a heated on-field exchange during Match 34 between Islamabad United and Rawalpindi.

The incident unfolded after Amir dismissed Faheem, triggering a verbal exchange. Amir gestured toward the pavilion, prompting Faheem to react and step toward him. As tensions escalated, both players came face-to-face before teammates quickly intervened to defuse the situation.

Match officials later reviewed the altercation and ruled that both players had breached the league’s code of conduct. Consequently, the match referee imposed a 10 percent fine on each player’s match fee. Both Amir and Faheem accepted the sanctions and acknowledged their misconduct.

Meanwhile, the league reiterated its commitment to maintaining discipline and sportsmanship. Incidents like this, although brief, highlight the emotional intensity of high-stakes T20 cricket, especially in a competitive tournament like the PSL.

However, swift intervention by teammates ensured that the situation did not spiral further, allowing the match to proceed without additional disruption.
