WEBDESK: Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb Speaking at a job fair in Karachi on Monday has said that real reforms are vital for Pakistan’s economic revival. He stressed that lasting growth can only be achieved through joint national effort and strong involvement of the private sector.
He said such events help young people connect with industries and find jobs. “There are no shortcuts in practical life. Hard work must be our guiding principle,” he said.
Aurangzeb highlighted that while the government is working on economic stability, the private sector must also take responsibility. He called the corporate sector “the true driver of a country” and urged it to play a more active role, especially as the world moves towards artificial intelligence.
The minister also praised Pakistan’s youth. He said young people are the future of the country but reminded them that private sector jobs demand commitment and long working hours. “There are bills to be paid, and employment is about responsibility,” he noted.
Aurangzeb pointed out that three global rating agencies have recently shown confidence in Pakistan’s economy. He said the State Bank is working to stabilise exchange and interest rates, and stressed the need for tax relief for manufacturing and the salaried class. He expressed hope that with better coordination and the Prime Minister’s support, the next two years would see more progress.
Reflecting on Independence Day celebrations, he praised the unity shown by people of all religions and called for the same spirit of solidarity to guide Pakistan’s future.
Aurangzeb further said that reforms, private sector growth, and job creation are the pillars of Pakistan’s economic recovery and long-term stability.
