RAWALPINDI: Security forces have eliminated Indian-backed fifteen Fitna al Khwarij (FAK) militants during two separate intelligence-based operations carried out in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on 15 and 16 November 2025, according to ISPR.
Acting on information about militant presence, security personnel launched an intelligence-driven raid in the Kulachi area of Dera Ismail Khan district. During the operation, troops targeted the militant hideout with precision, killing ten militants, including their ring leader, Alam Mehsud.
In a separate action in the Datta Khel area of North Waziristan, security forces engaged another group of militants and successfully neutralised five more individuals associated with the same network.

Following the encounters, sanitisation operations are underway to clear the region of any remaining militants. The security forces and law enforcement agencies reaffirmed that their comprehensive counterterrorism campaign under the “Azm-e-Istehkam” initiative, approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, will continue with full momentum to eradicate foreign-sponsored terrorism.
Two days ago, a major clash broke out in Lakki Marwat and Bannu as terrorists had been moving through the area for several days. Local security teams stepped up patrols in response, as tensions were already rising in the region.
In Lakki Marwat, the District Lucky Police Committee, along with local residents, set up an ambush. The terrorists opened fire shortly afterward, prompting an immediate response from security personnel. The gunfight lasted for an extended period, with heavy weapons used on both sides.
In Bannu, the Haved Police Committee and Tap Takhty Khel Civil Committee also confronted militants, blocking their escape routes. Their timely action increased pressure on the attackers, and several militants were reported killed during the exchange. The situation remained tense throughout the operation.
