RAWALPINDI: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi have concluded a three-day official visit to Iran along with a high-level delegation.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Field Marshal met Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian during the visit.
He also held separate meetings with National Assembly Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, and Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters Commander Major General Ali Abdollahi.
The statement said that Field Marshal Asim Munir emphasized the importance of dialogue, de-escalation, and sustained diplomatic engagement to resolve regional issues. He also thanked the Iranian leadership and people for their warm hospitality.
According to the military spokesperson, the Field Marshal conveyed good wishes on behalf of Pakistan’s President, Prime Minister, and the people, and reaffirmed the commitment to further strengthen the historic and brotherly relations between the two countries.
During the visit, leaders from both sides also discussed regional security, border management, and opportunities to enhance economic and trade cooperation between Pakistan and Iran.
The meetings testimonies a mutual desire to boost collaboration in multiple sectors and maintain stability in the region through coordinated efforts and continued high-level engagement.
