Peshawar: Authorities have decided to keep CNG stations closed during Eid-ul-Fitr.
According to a private TV channel, CNG stations in Peshawar will remain shut from March 21 to March 23. Section 144 has been imposed in this regard, and any violation will be dealt with under Section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).
The district administration stated that the decision has been taken to ensure an uninterrupted supply of gas to domestic consumers. Officials further warned that strict legal action will be taken against anyone violating the orders.
During festive periods like Eid, gas demand in urban areas typically increases due to higher household usage for cooking and preparations.
In order to manage supply and avoid shortages, authorities often take precautionary measures such as limiting or temporarily closing CNG stations.
