Dehli assembly bomb threat

Security forces were left scrambling after the Speaker of the Delhi Assembly received an email threat claiming that the building would be bombed by individuals identifying themselves as part of the “Khalistan National Army.”

The Speaker shared the threat email with intelligence and security agencies, prompting immediate action. Law enforcement agencies conducted a search of the assembly premises after heightened security concerns.

In a statement on social media platform X, the Delhi Assembly said necessary security measures were being taken to ensure protection of the building and its officials. The Speaker has also urged authorities to trace the source of the threatening email and identify those responsible.

The incident comes amid recent threats targeting other sensitive locations in the capital, including the Army Public School in Dhola Kuan and the Air Force Bal Bharti School on Lodhi Road.

Security officials say surveillance has been strengthened across the capital, while cybercrime and intelligence units are jointly investigating the matter. Authorities have so far not been able to trace the sender of the email.
