Web Desk: FIFA has officially released the World Cup 2026 anthem “Dai Dai”, featuring vocals by global pop star Shakira and Nigerian artist Burna Boy, marking the launch of the tournament’s official music campaign ahead of the global event.

FIFA confirmed that the track was recorded by Shakira and Burna Boy, combining Latin and Afrobeats influences in what organisers described as a signature sound for the upcoming tournament.

Moreover, the governing body said the anthem has been released under the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund initiative, which aims to support education programs for children worldwide.

According to FIFA, all proceeds generated from the song will be directed toward educational projects across different regions. In addition, Shakira has committed to donating her royalties from the track to the education fund.

Furthermore, the music production company involved in the project has pledged an initial contribution of $250,000 to support the same initiative, strengthening the song’s humanitarian focus alongside its sporting significance.

The anthem “Dai Dai” is now available on all major streaming platforms, with additional tracks for the official World Cup album expected to be released in the coming weeks, FIFA said.

Separately, FIFA has announced plans to introduce a halftime show during the 2026 World Cup final for the first time in the tournament’s history.

The organisation said Shakira will also appear during the halftime performance, alongside other global music icons including Madonna and K-pop group BTS, in what is expected to be a landmark entertainment segment for the event.
