Popular social media personality Chahat Fateh Ali Khan has clarified the egg-throwing incident that took place three months ago, saying it happened during his visit to Blackburn, where he was invited to promote Paratha Stop Café.
Other guests were also present at the time, and he gave a performance there.
According to Chahat Fateh Ali Khan, after the program ended, while he was taking pictures outside the café with the staff, two masked youngsters, who had earlier posed for pictures with him, returned wearing masks and threw eggs at his head before fleeing.
He said that he tried to call the police, but the café management stopped him, fearing bad publicity, and assured him that no video of the incident existed.
Khan added that he chose to remain silent for three months and avoided mentioning it on social media to protect the reputation of Paratha Stop.
However, old footage of the incident has now surfaced online.
Commenting on it, Chahat Fateh Ali Khan said, “This old video is nothing but a cheap publicity stunt by Paratha Stop. I am perfectly fine and continue to stand strong with the love of my fans. Such pathetic acts cannot bring me down.”
