Brampton mayor honours Pakistani journalist Shahzeb Khanzada

ISLAMABAD: Brampton’s Mayor Patrick Brown has awarded Pakistan’s senior journalist and well-known TV anchor Shahzeb Khanzada with the “Nishan-e-Shehr” honour.

During the ceremony, Mayor Brown also presented Shahzeb Khanzada with the city’s official pin and a certificate.

Speaking at the event, Mayor Brown said the award recognises Khanzada’s globally acclaimed journalism. He remarked that Shahzeb’s reputation precedes him, adding that his bold and impactful journalism is highly admired in Pakistan. According to the mayor, Shahzeb enjoys a strong following in Canada as well, especially in Brampton, where people appreciate his tough questioning and his courage to highlight issues that are often overlooked.

The mayor added that he was presenting this honour to Shahzeb Khanzada on behalf of the City of Brampton.
