The Babusar Road

Web Desk: The Babusar Road, which connects the town of Naran in the Kaghan Valley to Chilas, has been closed to all traffic due to heavy snowfall. The District Commissioner of Diamer issued a notification citing hazardous and slippery conditions on the road.

Snowfall Creates Dangerous Conditions

The notification highlighted that Babusar Top and adjoining areas in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are inaccessible. Snow accumulation has made the roads extremely dangerous for travel, posing significant risks to motorists.

No Snow Clearance or Security Deployed

Authorities stated that no snow removal measures have been taken so far. Additionally, security personnel previously deployed along the Diamer and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa border have been withdrawn.

Closure to Remain Until Further Notice

Considering the ongoing risks, the notification confirmed that Babusar Road will remain closed until further notice. Travelers and local residents have been advised to avoid the route until conditions improve and safety measures are implemented.
