Ambulance and doctors reach Adiala jail to attend Imran Khan

⏱ 2 minute read

Web desk: An ambulance arrived at Adiala Jail on Sunday after reports suggested former Prime Minister Imran Khan might need medical attention. The development drew immediate public attention, and security officials increased monitoring around the prison.

Authorities had arranged the ambulance as a precaution. They did not initially clarify whether doctors would move Imran Khan to a hospital or treat him inside the jail. Political circles speculated on the next move.

A specialized medical team, including top doctors from multiple leading Islamabad hospitals, waited inside the jail since 2:30 PM. The team included specialists, technicians, and all necessary equipment to conduct a thorough and complete medical checkup. They were ready to include representatives from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) during the examination.

No PTI leader arrived despite the invitation. Officials confirmed that doctors would proceed without any party representative.

The checkup has now been successfully completed. Multiple hospital specialists and technicians conducted a comprehensive assessment using advanced medical equipment. Doctors will submit a detailed report to the Supreme Court, which will decide whether Imran Khan should transfer to a hospital or continue treatment inside the jail.

The situation comes amid heightened political tensions. PTI supporters are closely tracking updates about their leader’s health. Party representatives have repeatedly demanded proper medical care and transparency.

Law enforcement has strengthened security around Adiala Jail. Authorities restricted movement near the premises. Media crews gathered outside for live coverage.

Supporters and political observers now await official confirmation on Imran Khan’s next steps. His medical evaluation remains central to Pakistan’s political landscape.
