Islamabad: Emerging Pakistani drama actress Aina Asif has revealed some of the less visible realities of working in the entertainment industry, shedding light on challenges faced by junior actors on set.
In a recent interview, Aina spoke candidly about the behavior of some senior actors and how it can create uncomfortable situations for newcomers.
“On the surface, senior actors are respected, but in practice, many situations can make it difficult for juniors,” she said.
She described instances where experienced performers interrupt, mock, or question newcomers over minor issues, affecting their confidence.
Aina emphasized that these disruptions are particularly noticeable during emotional or intense scenes.
She shared that while preparing for serious sequences, some actors may abruptly leave the set or engage in loud, casual conversations nearby—even interacting with the director in a lighthearted way—disturbing the overall atmosphere.
She added that mid-scene interruptions, such as someone asking for their lines or speaking out of turn, often break her flow and affect the authenticity of her performance.
“Scenes requiring emotional preparation, like crying or anger, demand focus. Any disturbance can spoil the impact,” Aina explained.
Despite initial frustration with such behaviors, the actress said she has learned to face these challenges calmly over time, adapting to the demanding environment of the drama industry.
