Kabul: Afghanistan has reportedly signaled willingness for negotiations with Pakistan even before 24 hours had passed since the outbreak of hostilities.
According to details, Taliban government spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid spoke about “negotiations” during a press conference. He stated that Afghanistan had previously expressed its desire for peace talks with Pakistan and, in the context of the ongoing fighting, believes that dialogue remains the appropriate path to resolve the dispute.
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar contacted Saudi Arabia and Türkiye to convey Pakistan’s stance regarding what it described as Afghan aggression.
It is worth noting that during Operation Ghazab-Lil-Haq, 274 members of the Taliban regime were reportedly killed and more than 400 injured. Over 74 posts were said to have been completely destroyed, while 18 checkpoints allegedly came under Pakistan’s control.
Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, stated in a press briefing that 115 enemy tanks, armored vehicles, and APCs had been destroyed, and that 22 hideouts linked to militant elements were targeted.
