Pakistan beat UAE by 31 runs to claim second win in Tri-Nation Series

Web desk: Pakistan clinched their second consecutive victory in the ongoing Tri-Nation Cricket Series after defeating the United Arab Emirates (UAE) by 31 runs in Sharjah.

Pakistan won the toss and chose to bat first, and gave a good total of 207 runs within the 20 overs.

In response, the UAE was able to handle 176 runs with the loss of 8 wickets, and it fell short even after a bold struggle.

On the bowling side, Hasan Ali was the most impressive with three wickets, and Mohammad Nawaz grabbed two. One wicket each was taken by Salman Mirza and Saim Ayub.

In the case of the UAE, Asif Khan had a brilliant performance of 77 runs to keep his team in the game until late.

Pakistan’s innings was powered by an aggressive 69 off 38 balls from Saim Ayub and a quickfire 56 off 26 deliveries from Hasan Nawaz. However, six other batters failed to reach double figures.

For the UAE, Junaid Siddique and Sagheer Khan impressed with the ball, taking three wickets each, while Haider Ali claimed two.

With this win, Pakistan strengthened their position in the tournament and carried forward strong momentum.

ACC revises Asia Cup 2025 match timings

The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) announced on Saturday that the match timings for the Asia Cup 2025 have been adjusted to improve conditions for both players and fans, with possible weather disruptions being a key reason.

Under the new schedule, games will now begin at 6:30PM UAE time (7:30PM Pakistan time), instead of the earlier start of 6:00PM local time.
