Rana Sanaullah issues strong statement on Imran Khan’s sentence

Web desk: Pakistan’s Prime Minister’s Adviser on Political Affairs, Rana Sanaullah, has said that there seems to be no possibility of Imran Khan’s release.

Speaking on ARY News program Khabar with Muhammad Malik, the host Muhammad Malik asked him whether he sees Imran Khan being released.

Rana Sanaullah replied, “The way Imran Khan is going, he will serve the full 14-year sentence.”

Prior to this, Salman Akram Raja had announced his resignation as PTI General Secretary.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader had decided to step down from the post of Secretary General of PTI.

In his statement, Salman Akram Raja had said that he would request the founder of PTI to accept his resignation and that he would continue to provide legal services to the party without compensation.

He had stated that his small family stood by him, and they had endured all kinds of subtle attacks from within and outside the party, without any regret.

Salman Akram Raja had added that he had willingly accepted economic uncertainty by putting his strong advocacy behind him, and his unpaid legal services would continue.

He had also mentioned that his life was an open book and none of his actions contradicted any principle. “An incident occurred that required a blunt decision from me,” he had said.
