The hill city, Murree is getting sky walk, chairlift and cable car.

The provincial government has approved feasibility studies for two landmark projects.

A Sky Walk Glass Bridge will cost Rs72.152 million and a Chairlift & Cable Car from Lakot to Pindi Point will cost Rs90 million.

Other approved projects include the construction of a road from Danda Shah Bilawal to Ghool via Lawa, District Chakwal (Rs 1.374 billion), the Chief Minister’s Minority Development Programme (Rs 1 billion), a feasibility study for a theme park in Lahore (Rs 200 million), and the Accelerate Punjab Startups Tech Programme (Rs 2.3 billion).

Recently, a landslide triggered by continuous rainfall has damaged a portion of the Murree Expressway.

According to the Deputy Commissioner of Murree, heavy rocks tumbling down from the hillside blocked part of the expressway, leading to the closure of the affected lane. However, the remaining section of the expressway is open, and traffic is flowing smoothly.

Authorities have urged citizens to avoid unnecessary travel and refrain from visiting hilly areas during the ongoing rainy spell due to the risk of further landslides.
