Rawalpindi and Islamabad

Heavy rainfall in Rawalpindi and Islamabad has turned streets and lanes into ponds, with water entering houses in several areas.

At Katarian, the water level in Lai Nullah has reached 9 feet, while in Gawalmandi it has risen to 5 feet.

Due to the downpour, the spillways of Rawal Dam have been opened to control the water flow and prevent further damage in nearby areas. The administration remains on full alert.
