Web Desk: Security forces said on Wednesday they killed 19 terrorists in separate intelligence-based operations across Balochistan as part of the ongoing Operation Rad-ul-Fitna 3.
According to security officials, an intelligence-based operation was carried out near Rodenjo Cross in Kalat after authorities received information about the presence of terrorists.
During the operation, security forces intercepted a vehicle carrying five suspected terrorists and engaged them in a gun battle. All five were killed, officials said.
Meanwhile, another operation was launched in Kunaro, Khuzdar, following intelligence about terrorist activity in the area. Security forces exchanged fire with the suspects, killing four terrorists, according to the statement.
Separately, security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Surab after receiving information about the presence of terrorists.
Initial information indicated that 10 terrorists were killed during the operation, officials said.
The security forces identified the targeted terrorists as members of Fitna al-Hindustan, or FAH, in their statement.
The latest operations bring the reported number of terrorists killed during Wednesday’s actions to 19.
Security forces said the campaign against terrorist groups remains underway and that operations will continue on the basis of intelligence gathered in different parts of Balochistan.
