UAE introduces 5-Year multiple-entry visit visa

The United Arab Emirates has launched a five-year multiple-entry tourist visa plan that allows visitors to enter the country multiple times without the need for a local sponsor or host.

The multiple-entry tourist visa is open to travelers of all nationalities and is aimed at making repeated visits to the UAE sramless and more convenient.

Under this new scheme, the self-sponsored visa holders can stay in the country for up to 90 days during each visit. With approval, the stay can be extended to 180 days. However, visitors cannot remain in the UAE for more than 180 days in total within a 12-month period.

The prerequisites, under UAE immigration rules, require the aspirants to have a valid passport, health insurance and a return or onward ticket.

Besides this, the applicants must also provide bank statements showing a minimum amount of US$4,000, or its equivalent, during the required period.

The total cost of visa amounts approximately AED 3,713, including applicable fees. Applicants can process their visa through the UAE’s official immigration channels.

The visa scheme is particularly launched for people who frequently travel to the UAE for tourism, family visits or business purposes.

Furthermore, the scheme is also part of the UAE’s broader strategy to attract international visitors and boost its position as a leading global tourism and business destination.
