The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced free entry for spectators to all matches of the National Champions Cup, which will be held at Multan Cricket Stadium from August 11 to 18.
According to Express News, all seven matches of the tournament will be day-night fixtures, with play scheduled to begin at 3pm.
According to the PCB, four teams — Pakistan Greens, Pakistan Whites, Pakistan Blues and Pakistan Gold — will participate in the National Champions Cup. The tournament will be played on a single-league round-robin basis, with the top two teams advancing to the final.
Shaheen Shah Afridi will captain Pakistan Gold, Shadab Khan will lead Pakistan Greens, Saim Ayub will captain Pakistan Whites, while Saibzada Farhan will lead Pakistan Blues.
The PCB has announced squads comprising 44 players for the tournament, along with 13 reserve players. The event will also mark the start of the 2026–27 domestic season and is being considered important preparation for the 2027 ICC World Cup.

Bangladesh Sports Minister Aminul Haque has ruled out the possibility of former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s appearance alongside Shakib Al Hasan at an event, saying the cricketer’s chances of returning to the national team have been eliminated.
Recently, former Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina addressed the South Asian Foreign Correspondents’ Club in New Delhi virtually.
Bangladesh’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly reacted to Sheikh Hasina’s virtual speech, saying that India has allowed a “fugitive, convicted genocidaire” and a “convicted criminal responsible for hundreds of killings” to address the media from its territory, which it described as an insult to Bangladesh’s sovereignty and its people.
