MG Pakistan has officially launched the second-generation MG ZS in Pakistan after a week-long social media campaign.
The new MG ZS has been introduced with a hybrid powertrain for the first time, while its base variant is equipped with a conventional 1,500cc petrol engine.
The new MG ZS is available in three variants: Vibe, Hybrid+ Excite, and Hybrid+ Essence.
The Vibe is the base non-hybrid model, while the Excite and Essence feature advanced hybrid technology.
According to the company, the new-generation ZS is longer and wider than the previous model and has been introduced with a completely new design.
The top-spec Hybrid+ Essence features a 1,500cc hybrid engine, producing 212 horsepower and 465 Nm of torque, paired with a 1.83 kWh battery and a 3-speed hybrid transmission.
The vehicle comes with a range of modern features, including a panoramic sunroof, 12.3-inch infotainment screen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, digital instrument cluster, six airbags, 360-degree camera, Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), electric tailgate, ventilated seats, heated side mirrors, and intelligent headlight control.
In Pakistan, the new hybrid MG ZS will compete with the Honda HR-V e, Toyota Corolla Cross HEV, Haval Jolion, Suzuki Fronx Mild Hybrid, and Jaecoo J5, while the non-hybrid variant will compete with other subcompact SUVs.
Price
The company has also announced the introductory ex-factory prices of the new MG ZS:
Vibe: Rs. 6,599,000
Hybrid+ Excite: Rs. 7,099,000
Hybrid+ Essence: Rs. 7,499,000
Bookings for all three variants will start from Rs. 1.2 million.
According to MG Pakistan, these are limited-time introductory prices and will not be affected by any future increase in taxes. The company says deliveries of the new MG ZS will begin in September 2026.
