Web Desk: Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) on Wednesday announced the results of its annual examinations for Grade 9 and Grade 10, with female students once again dominating the top positions.
Speaking at the official results ceremony, Federal Education Minister Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui congratulated successful students and their families, saying the achievement marked the beginning of future success and underscored the country’s educational potential.
Siddiqui said female students continued to outperform their male counterparts, noting that girls secured seven of the top 10 positions in this year’s examinations.
“The change is visible. Girls are moving ahead in the field of education,” he said.
The minister praised the high achievers and stressed the need to create an environment that enables students to reach their full potential.
Highlighting the rapidly changing global landscape, Siddiqui said today’s education system must equip students for the next several decades.
“The world will change even more over the next 40 years,” he said. “We have to determine today what the standard of education should be for tomorrow.”
He also described knowledge as “the inheritance of every believer” and called for educational reforms that combine modern learning with cultural and national values.
Siddiqui urged the federal education system to serve as a model for the country’s provinces, saying educational standards should continue to improve across Pakistan.
“The federation should become a model for all the provinces,” he said.
He added that schools and educational institutions must foster a supportive learning environment while promoting excellence and national development.
“We are a great nation, and our educational institutions should reflect that,” the minister said.
The Federal Board conducts annual examinations for thousands of students from Islamabad, cantonment areas, and Pakistani schools abroad, with the matriculation results serving as a key milestone for students pursuing higher secondary education.
