Muhammad Ahmed says differences arose with Hira Mani during the shooting of a drama serial
Veteran Pakistani actor, writer, and playwright Syed Muhammad Ahmed has broken his silence over his years-long estrangement from actress Hira Mani, admitting that he made a major mistake in anger—one he now deeply regrets.
Speaking on a recent podcast, Muhammad Ahmed revealed that differences emerged between the two during the shooting of a drama serial. He said he became so upset that he refused to accept Hira Mani’s apology, despite her repeatedly sending him messages seeking forgiveness, which he never responded to.
The veteran actor disclosed that the dispute also affected their professional relationship. He said there was a time when he refused to appear in the same scene as Hira Mani. Citing the hit drama Mere Paas Tum Ho as an example, he noted that although Hira Mani played his daughter in the serial, viewers would notice that the two did not share a single scene together.
Muhammad Ahmed said a recent meeting with Hira Mani prompted him to rethink his actions. According to him, Hira Mani hugged him and became emotional during the encounter, making him realize that holding onto resentment and cutting off communication for years had been the wrong decision.
He also admitted that he not only distanced himself from Hira Mani but also spoke negatively about her behavior to others in the entertainment industry—something he now feels ashamed of. Acknowledging that he is only human, Muhammad Ahmed said he openly accepts that his conduct was a serious mistake.
It is worth mentioning that in several past interviews, Muhammad Ahmed had spoken emotionally about the inappropriate behavior of an actress without revealing her identity. For the first time, he has now confirmed that the actress was Hira Mani.
His candid admission has been widely appreciated on social media, with fans and members of the entertainment industry praising his willingness to publicly acknowledge his mistake. Many described the reconciliation between the two artists as a positive development and a sign of humility and maturity.
