Pakistani actress Hania Aamir has come under criticism after a piece of advice she shared with her fans sparked mixed reactions on social media.
Hania Aamir is among Pakistan’s most popular actresses. She made her acting debut in the 2016 film Janaan. Her notable projects include Na Maloom Afraad 2, Dilruba, Titli, Mujhe Jeene Do, Mere Humsafar, Ishqiya, Sang-e-Mah, Wasl, Mujhe Pyaar Hua Tha, and Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum.
She is also the most-followed Pakistani showbiz personality on Instagram, with 20.1 million followers.
Recently, a video of Hania Aamir went viral on social media showing her booking a rickshaw ride.
In the video, her friends ask whether she really wants to travel by rickshaw despite being such a big star.
Ignoring their concerns, Hania replies, “The branch that bends bears more fruit.” She adds that people who remain humble and stay connected to their roots achieve greater success in life. However, after the video went viral, many social media users criticized her message.
While some users praised her remarks, others took issue with both her statement and delivery.
Several commenters pointed out that she had quoted the proverb incorrectly. One user wrote that the actual saying is: “A branch laden with fruit bends, while an empty branch stands upright.”
Another user commented that she gives off “childish (nibbi)” vibes, while a third criticized her for frequently appearing on the streets in what they described as inappropriate clothing.
