Web Desk: Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, arrived in Türkiye on Sunday for a two-day official visit aimed at strengthening defence cooperation and bilateral ties, security sources said.
Turkish officials accorded a warm welcome to the Pakistani military chief upon his arrival, reflecting the close strategic relationship between the two countries.
During the visit, Field Marshal Munir is scheduled to hold meetings with Türkiye’s senior military and political leadership, according to security sources.
The discussions are expected to focus on matters of mutual interest, including defence cooperation, regional security and broader bilateral relations between Islamabad and Ankara.
Although officials have not released a detailed itinerary, the visit comes as Pakistan and Türkiye continue to expand collaboration across defence, security and strategic sectors.
Pakistan and Türkiye have maintained longstanding political, military and diplomatic ties, with regular exchanges between senior civilian and military officials.
The latest visit is expected to reinforce defence cooperation and provide an opportunity for both sides to review ongoing collaboration and discuss regional developments.
Security officials said the two-day visit underscores the commitment of both countries to further deepen their strategic partnership through continued high-level engagement.
