Sarwat Gilani shares the deepest sorrow of her life

Pakistani actress Sarwat Gilani

Pakistani actress Sarwat Gilani has shared her thoughts on emotional relationships and life’s deepest sorrows during a recent appearance on a morning show.

Gilani said that the greatest grief in life is not always linked to the death of a loved one. Sometimes, she explained, the most painful experience is losing someone who is still alive but is no longer a part of your life.

She noted that the end of a relationship, friendship, or emotional bond can be just as heartbreaking because there is no clear opportunity or space to grieve such a loss.

According to the actress, when someone passes away, there is a way to say goodbye. However, when a person is alive but no longer present in one’s life, all that remains are memories, unanswered questions, and unspoken emotions, making it extremely difficult to move on.

Gilani added that when people drift apart or lose contact, they become occupied with their own lives, but the emotional pain of their absence continues to linger. She said this lingering absence often becomes the heaviest loss a person can experience.

Host Nida Yasir also agreed with her remarks, saying that while society gives people the space to mourn the death of a loved one, there is no similar recognition or tradition for grieving broken relationships or emotional separations.
