Actress Aini Jaffrey has revealed a heart-wrenching incident that took place as a child when she was just five years old when she was sexually harassed by a cook working in her grandparents’ house.
She said that the cook called her to the servant’s quarters on the pretext of giving her lollipops and she agreed to go with him due to her young age, where the cook sexually harassed her.
The actress said that she still remembers the incident as a horror film. According to him, even at that time, he felt all this was wrong, but due to his young age, he could not stop it.
Annie Jaffrey added that even after all this, she was not scared but immediately went home and told her mother the truth. He said that the purpose of narrating this incident is not to gain sympathy or increase followers, but to make people realize that such incidents happen to many children, but they do not tell the parents out of fear, although the person who commits this heinous act should be scared.
She further pointed out that sometimes even familiar or close relatives may be involved in such acts, which is why parents must teach their children what is right and wrong. She urged that children should be encouraged to seek help immediately, whether through words or gestures, if subjected to inappropriate behavior.
The actress also stressed the importance of not staying silent, encouraging victims to speak up, and seek therapy or professional help if needed.
