Web Desk: A video circulating on social media has intensified scrutiny over relations between India’s military and police after it purportedly showed personnel from the 17 Rashtriya Rifles entering a police station in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar district days after an FIR was registered against two army officers.

According to video circulating online, local police recently filed a First Information Report (FIR) against an Indian Army Major and a Lieutenant Colonel serving with the 17 Rashtriya Rifles.

Soon afterward, the video emerged, showing armed military personnel entering the Atholi police station. Individuals in uniform appear to move through the premises while scenes of heightened tension and apparent vandalism unfold.

Social media accounts and local reports have alleged that members of the 17 Rashtriya Rifles entered the police station in response to the FIR filed against the two officers. Those claims also allege that police personnel were assaulted during the incident.

However, authorities have not publicly confirmed those allegations, and no official statement was immediately available explaining the circumstances shown in the video.

The incident, has prompted debate on social media over coordination and accountability between India’s security institutions. The confrontation is an example of growing tensions between law enforcement agencies and military personnel inside India.

The episode reflects broader concerns about law enforcement and institutional discipline. Authorities have yet to provide a detailed account of the reported incident. It also remains unclear whether disciplinary or legal action has been initiated following the confrontation.
