Nagoya women’s Marathon 2027

Pakistani women runners have been invited take part in the Nagoya Women’s Marathon 2027 in Japan, endorsed by Guinness World Records as the world’s largest women-only marathon. International registration now is open for the event to take place on March 14, 2027, in Nagoya, Japan.

International Women’s Running Event

The 2027 marathon is expected to accommodate 22,000 female participants, 2,000 more runners from previous editions. The competitors will include professional athletes, experienced marathoners, beginners and recreational runners from different parts of the globe.

Competitors of varied ages and ability levels can participate in the full 42.195-kilometre marathon distance. The event will bring women with different levels of running experience, allowing participants to pursue a range of personal targets, from completing their first marathon to achieving a new personal record.

The race has also been awarded World Athletics Platinum Label status., highlighting its international recognition in the athletics calendar.

Finishers’ Gift

One of the marathon’s key traditions is the special gift presented to every woman who successfully gets through the race.

This time in 2027 edition, finishers will receive a uniquely designed Baccarat crystal tumbler. The French luxury brand encompasses a history of more than 260 years in crystal craftsmanship.

The design of the 2027 Baccarat crystal tumbler will be exhibited at the Marathon EXPO on the day before the race.

Conducive environment

Organisers say that the event offers women a safe and comfortable racing environment. Medical support, a large number of toilets and spacious changing areas for runners will be available for runners throughout the event.

The course is relatively flat and has a seven-hour time limit, making the race suitable for runners with varying levels of experience and fitness.

The race will start and finish at Vantelin Dome Nagoya, a sheltered baseball stadium that provides protection from potentially hard weather conditions.

It is wort noting that 96.6 per cent of participants successfully completed the 2026 edition.

Different activities and entertainments

The marathon programme will commence with the Marathon EXPO on Friday, offering visitors and participants a variety of entertainment and recreational activities.

The programme features the “GO RUNWAY” fashion show as well as a live performance by a popular singer, adding colour to the sporting event.

Although the main marathon is exclusively intended for women, male participants can be part of several events scheduled alongside it on race day. These recreational events include the Nagoya City Marathon Half Marathon and the 8.5-kilometre Nagoya RUN.

Registration for overseas runners

International registration for the Nagoya Women’s Marathon 2027 has started on August 11, 2026. The early registration period will continue until August 24. The regular entry period expands from August 25 until September 23.

Organisers have allocated 3,500 places for runners from overseas with entries being entertained on a first-come, first-served basis.

Women runners from Pakistan and other countries are being encouraged to register early owing to limited number of international places.
