The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) will conduct a five-day AFC ‘A’ coaching course from August 15 to 19, 2026. Iraqi AFC instructor Wissam Shmeil Kamil will serve as the instructor for the course.
A total of 19 AFC ‘A’-certified coaches from Pakistan will participate in the course, including 18 male coaches and one female coach.
After a gap of 10 years, the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) is set to hold an AFC ‘A’ Certificate Refresher Coaching Course in Pakistan. The initiative marks an important step toward reviving high-level AFC coaching education in the country. The five-day course will take place from August 15 to 19, 2026.
PFF Director Coach Education Sajjad Mahmood said the revival of high-level coaching education is an important step toward strengthening Pakistan’s overall football system.
“Coach development is the foundation of football development. More than a decade has passed since an AFC ‘A’ level coaching course was held in Pakistan, so this refresher course is an important development,” he said.
He added that the PFF’s aim is to promote a culture of continuous learning and skills development among coaches and provide them with regular access to high-level technical education and international experience.
The course is also aimed to provide participating coaches with a chance to update their technical knowledge, exchange experiences and further refresh their coaching standards in line with international football requirements.
