Pakistani actress and model Mamia Shah Jaffar has revealed that she has been battling the autoimmune disease Lupus for the past year, a condition that has caused her severe physical pain and required prolonged medical treatment.
Sharing her health journey on social media, Mamia said the past year had been extremely difficult. She explained that living with a chronic illness like Lupus is not easy, but despite the challenges, she has refused to give up.
The actress said her husband stood by her side throughout the difficult period, offering constant support and encouragement.
She added that her health has now improved and that she has resumed her professional work on a regular basis.
Mamia also said that people often see those who appear strong but fail to recognise the daily struggles and pain they endure behind the scenes.
“I try to live life to the fullest every day while fighting this illness,” she said.
Following her post, social media users expressed their best wishes, with many fans praising her courage and resilience and praying for her continued recovery.
Lupus is a chronic autoimmune illness in which the body’s immune system attacks its own healthy tissues and organs. The condition can affect the skin, joints, kidneys, heart, lungs, brain, and other organs, causing symptoms such as fatigue, joint pain, skin rashes, fever, and swelling.
