The U.S. Special Envoy for the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, has departed for Switzerland.

According to White House officials, Jared Kushner is already present in Switzerland. Steve Witkoff will participate in nuclear negotiations with Iran. The final date and time for the talks have not yet been determined. U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance is also expected to travel to Switzerland for the negotiations.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi is also planning to travel to Switzerland today. An American journalist has claimed that the Iranian foreign minister has informed intermediary countries. Iran had conditioned negotiations with the United States on a ceasefire in Lebanon. Iran wants an Israel-Lebanon ceasefire to be implemented before the Switzerland talks. It is worth noting that the first round of talks between the United States and Iran, scheduled for Friday, was postponed.

Meanwhile, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio will undertake an important visit to the Middle East next week. Rubio will visit the UAE, Kuwait, and Bahrain. Discussions during the visit will focus on the regional security situation and developments related to Iran.
