Web Desk: Switzerland produced a dominant second-half display to defeat Bosnia and Herzegovina 4-1 in a FIFA World Cup group-stage match on Thursday, scoring four goals in the final 23 minutes of play.

The match remained level at halftime after both sides failed to convert early chances in an evenly contested first half. Bosnia and Switzerland created several opportunities, but neither side managed to break the deadlock before the interval.

However, Switzerland shifted gears after the restart and increased attacking pressure. The breakthrough came as the Swiss side exploited gaps in Bosnia’s defense, turning the match decisively in their favor.

Substitute Johan Manzambi led the charge with two goals, while Ruben Vargas and Granit Xhaka each added a goal to secure a commanding win for the Swiss team.

Bosnia’s challenge worsened when referee sent off player Muhari Movic with a red card, leaving the team a man down during a crucial phase of the match.

Despite the setback, Bosnia managed a late consolation goal in the 93rd minute through Muhmak, but it did little to change the outcome.

Switzerland maintained control in the closing stages and sealed all three points, finishing with four total points in the group and strengthening their chances of advancing to the knockout round.

The result marks a strong statement from Switzerland, who capitalized on second-half momentum and numerical advantage to secure a comprehensive victory.
