Scattered empty chairs at the sit-in organized by the banned Awami Action Committee at Rawalakot Eidgah are being cited as clear evidence that the overwhelming majority of the public has rejected the group.
According to details, people were allegedly persuaded to travel to Rawalakot in the name of basic rights, with the impression created that a large public gathering would be used to pressure state institutions, paralyze the system, and create a front against the state. However, it claims that these objectives have failed completely.
Reports reveal that as more people became aware of the group’s alleged anti-state and anti-Pakistan narrative, public support continued to decline. It argues that the largely empty protest venue now serves as undeniable proof that the group no longer enjoys significant public backing or a widely accepted narrative.
It also criticizes what it describes as the use of women and children in the front rows to conceal poor attendance, calling the practice shameful, irresponsible, and condemnable. The statement further alleges that some workers associated with the group have been involved in harassing government officials, issuing threats, and challenging the writ of the state in various areas, causing concern among local residents.
The reports further state that conscious, patriotic, and responsible Kashmiris have already rejected the group. It concludes by calling for the complete rejection of elements that it claims are attempting to weaken the longstanding relationship between Pakistan and Kashmir, spread instability, and mislead young people.
