Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir met the Commander of the Bahrain National Guard, during which detailed discussions were held on defence cooperation between the two countries, regional situation, and matters of mutual interest.
According to ISPR, during the meeting, the current security situation in the region and related challenges were also discussed, while both leaders termed joint efforts for peace and stability in the region as important.
Besides, it was agreed on this occasion to promote military-level cooperation between Pakistan and Bahrain. Both sides also emphasized expanding defence relations and increasing joint training and cooperation in various fields.
It was also agreed in the meeting that the existing friendly relations between Pakistan and Bahrain will be further strengthened and cooperation in defence and military sectors will be given a new dimension.
Both sides expressed the resolve that through mutual cooperation, not only defence relations will be strengthened but a joint role will also be played for peace and security in the region.
