Three police officers, one FC official martyred and over 20 security personnel injured. Attackers allegedly opened direct fire with AK-47 rifles, targeting security personnel at close range. Sources claimed that several shots were aimed at the head, resulting in multiple casualties.
The violence broke out following a confrontation involving security forces and members of the Jammu Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC).
The nature of the attack and the tactics employed leave little doubt that it was a premeditated act of terrorism. According to the authorities, the operation was planned by the leadership of JAAC and executed by its armed supporters.
The state will take decisive and comprehensive action against this violent group. All those involved in planning, facilitating, or carrying out the attack will be brought to justice, and the writ of the state will be upheld at all costs.
