Interesting details have emerged regarding Indian cricket superstar Virat Kohli’s decision to leave India and move to London, as revealed by his former teammate Liam Livingstone.
Speaking on a recent podcast, Livingstone said that despite his aggressive persona on the field, Kohli is a gentle, friendly and family-oriented person in his private life.
He explained that Kohli’s immense popularity in India meant he was constantly under public attention and media scrutiny, which often made it difficult for him to enjoy a normal lifestyle.
According to Livingstone, Kohli wanted a life where he could spend quality time with his wife and children and travel freely without crowds or constant public attention.
Livingstone further stated that every move Kohli makes is closely watched by cameras and the public forcing him to live under constant scrutiny. He believes this was one of the main reasons Kohli decided to move abroad.
It is worth noting that Virat Kohli is now primarily based in London where he lives with his wife, Anushka Sharma and their children.
He added that after the birth of his daughter, Kohli decided to move abroad in search of greater privacy and a better family environment.
Previously, Sriram Nene had also stated that Kohli and Anushka Sharma were unable to enjoy a normal life because of their immense fame, prompting them to seek a quieter life away from the spotlight.
