Web Desk: Turkish authorities have launched a large-scale crackdown on undocumented Afghan migrants, following similar enforcement actions in Germany and Iran, officials and local reports said on Saturday.

Security forces in multiple provinces have intensified operations targeting individuals without valid residency documents, leading to arrests and detention checks across major urban centers.

Authorities said the campaign aims to curb illegal migration and strengthen border control measures amid rising regional pressure on migration routes through Iran and into Turkey.

The move comes as several countries in Europe and the Middle East, including Germany and Iran, have recently increased deportations and tightened immigration enforcement against Afghan nationals.

Officials have not yet released full figures on detentions or deportations linked to the latest operation, but further actions are expected in the coming days as part of an expanded national security strategy.
