Security forces intensified operations in the Bobali area under the ongoing sanitization operation against militants, inflicting heavy losses on militants.
According to security sources, about 20 to 22 militants were eliminated during the operation. So far, nine bodies along with two weapons have been recovered.
Besides this, During the operation, BDS detected and safely neutralized 11 improvised explosive devices (IEDs), while three mortar rounds were also recovered from a militant hideout.
Officials said all operational blocks remain in place and the objective area has been completely sealed.
Furthermore, Security forces also destroyed many militant centers and hideouts which were used as bases for terror activities. These included Minara Mosque Markaz, Nawal Mosque Markaz, Abu Hanifa School Markaz, Chotta Masjid operational hideout, underground culvert bunkers and fighting positions along the main supply route, as well as Abu Bakar Mosque and Qayyum Mosque centers.
Security officials further stated that sanitization of the Bobali Mosque Markaz has been accomplished, while clearance operations in Bobali village will resume on May 20 as part of continued efforts to eliminate militant presence from the area.
