Online police character certificate

The Ministry of Interior has, for the first time, standardized the character certificate system for citizens across the country to facilitate people traveling abroad and job applicants.

Data from all four provinces, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Kashmir has been integrated, creating a unified character certificate system nationwide for the first time. Citizens will now only need to obtain certificates from the National Police Bureau instead of separate provincial authorities.

A centralized record of Pakistani citizens has been stored at the National Police Bureau, and character certificates for citizens across the country will now be issued from a single platform.

The previously complicated police verification process has now become faster and connected to a centralized system. Citizens will be able to obtain police character certificates online from home. For the first time, police records from across the country have been merged into one database. The initiative will provide major convenience for overseas travelers and job seekers.

The move is widely appreciated as the new centralized system is aimed to reduce delays, eliminate duplication in record verification, and improve transparency in the delivery process. The move is also aimed at a coordinated information sharing among law enforcement agencies and simplifying documentation procedures for citizens nationwide.
