Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) and Field Marshal Asim Munir said that “Marka-e-Haq” was not merely a conventional war between two countries, but a decisive confrontation between two opposing ideologies, in which, by the grace of God, “truth” achieved victory.
Addressing the first anniversary ceremony of Marka-e-Haq held at GHQ Rawalpindi, he stated that the May 2025 battle was not a sudden event, but the logical outcome of long-standing conspiracies and miscalculations by the enemy.
Enemy aggression and national unity response
The Field Marshal said Pakistan has always foiled the enemy’s misjudgments, and once again the aggression was met with national unity. He added that the enemy has repeatedly blamed Pakistan for its internal failures but has faced crushing defeats every time.
He said the sacrifices of the martyrs of Marka-e-Haq can never be forgotten, as their blood has given new strength to the defence of the homeland.
“Bunyan-un-Marsoos” and ideological superiority
Describing Marka-e-Haq as a “Bunyan-un-Marsoos” (a solid, cemented wall), he said this victory proved that when faith and determination come together, material power becomes insignificant.
He emphasized that every act of aggression by the enemy was met with a strong response, and in the future as well, Pakistan’s enemies will face the same decisive defeat.
Field Marshal in his speech revitalized the spirit of the gathering with these sublime lines:
“We have trampled deserts and wildernesses,
When we move forward, we keep moving on,
These rivers, oceans, and mountains know us well,
We rewrite history in a new way.”
