Web Desk: Authorities in India are investigating an explosion reported outside a facility of the Border Security Force in the city of Jalandhar, officials said on Tuesday.
Initial reports from local media indicated that a two-wheeler may have caught fire near the site. However, officials said the exact nature and cause of the explosion remain unclear. Emergency services reached the area shortly after the incident, and security forces cordoned off the surroundings.
Meanwhile, some Indian media outlets speculated that if evidence of Pakistan’s involvement in the Jalandhar BSF headquarters blast is found, India can consider it an act of war and attack Pakistan with ballistic missiles within 72 hours.
Officials have not issued any formal statement linking the incident to another country, including Pakistan.
